BJP compares Parrikar's health condition to Nehru, criticises Congress for taking out march

Panaji, Nov 21 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa unit President Vinay Tendulkar on Wednesday compared situation of State Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to that of former Prime Minister Late Jawaharlal Nehru's last few years in office and criticised Congress for staging a march upto the Chief Minister's residence demanding his resignation.
Addressing a press conference at the party state headquarters in the city, he said, “Our Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, for the last three years of his tenure, he was ill. He was suffering from paralysis and he could not function as a Prime Minister ought to. At that time, our leaders, whether it was Atal Behari Vajpayee or Jan Sangh did not take a morcha to his house and demand his resignation, as we have seen in Goa too.”
Mr Tendulkar, who is lone Rajya Sabha member from the state, claimed that even when Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar was ill and had gone for treatment abroad neither the Congress nor BJP demanded his resignation.
