BJP chief, Rishi Kapoor, Hima Das greet  PM on his b'day

New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) BJP chief Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Congress president Rahul and a number of sports personalities and film stars have extended their good wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday on Monday.
"Prime Minister Modi’s quality of recognising the importance of service and more importantly respecting those who put in their effort to serve others, is a mark of an excellent organisation and institution builder," tweeted Mr Shah. The BJP chief also penned a blog for a news daily wherein he says Mr Modi does not merely think in terms of "incidents but rather in terms of institutions".
In this context, BJP chief wrote: "Take, for example, his (PM's) battle against corruption. That his probity and integrity are unquestionable is a fact accepted even by many of his adversaries. However, he did not rest. Instead, he (Modi) set about equipping India with better laws and institutions that are institutionalising honesty and boosting transparency."
Among film stars, Rishi Kapoor tweeted, "Many Happy Returns of the day Narendra bhai Modi. God Bless!"
Mr Modi also responded quickly writing - "Rishi Kapoor Ji, thank you for the greetings" in the micro blogging site.
Mega star Amitabh Bachchan also extended his good wishes to the Prime Minister.
Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh wrote, "Many happy returns of the day to PM Narendra Mmodi ji. Best wishes for your good health and long life".
Congress president Rahul Gandhi's first tweet of the day was, "Happy Birthday to our PM, Narendra Modi ji. Wishing him good health and happiness always".
In his missive, actor Akshay Kumar wrote, "Wishing the man with a vision, our Honorable Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modiji a very happy birthday. Today I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for supporting causes that are close to my heart. Thank you and wishing you a great year ahead".
Indian sprint runner Hima Das also extended her good wishes to the Prime Minister.
In her missive Mr Swaraj wrote, "Pradhan Mantriji Heartiest greetings & best wishes on your birthday. May God bless you with long life & dedicated service to the nation".
BJP leader and MP Vinay Sahasrabuddhe also tweeted, "As always, Birth Day of PM Narendra Modiji is celebrated as Seva Divas and I joined Delhi State BJP Chief Manoj Tiwari and others".
Among opposition leaders Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote a very brief message: "Birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendramodi ji".
Tamil Nadu BJP chief Tamilisai Soundararajan gifted rings to babies born at a government hospital run by the Chennai civic body on the occasion.
