BJP & BJD organises meeting to strengthen their respective party organisations

Bhubaneswar, Sep 29 (UNI) BJP National President J P Nadda arrived here on Thursday on a two-day visit to the state in a bid to strengthen the party organisation before 2024 general election.
This is the first visit of Nadda to the state after he assumed charge as the President of the party in 2020.
Soon after Nadda arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport he was taken to the state Party headquarter in a massive bike rally organised by the BJP youth wing.
The BJP leader is scheduled to address the booth level booth workers on Thurs day. Around 20,000 to 25,000 party workers would gather in Janata Maidan on Thursday to listen to the Party President.
After the meeting the Party President is scheduled to discuss about the 2024 election strategies with all party MPs, MLAs and senior party leaders.
In the evening he will leave for Puri and will stay there in the night. On the next day morning, Nadda will leave for Dhamanagar on Friday to express his sympathies to the bereaved family members of Bishnu Sethi, the former Deputy leader of the Party in Odisha Assembly who passed away recently after darshan of the Lord Jaganath in the morning.
In view of the huge gathering, the Commissioner of Police said they have deployed 25 platoons of police to maintain law and order and ensure smooth movement of traffic during the BJP meeting.
Not to be lagged behind the ruling BJD has also planned a two day work shop at Baramunda beginning on Thursday with a slogan -BJD a Mass movement to counter the BJP.
The BJD leaders said the workshop is planned to prepare the party workers for the month long
Jana Sampark Yatra beginning from October 2 next .
The party has only invited the Party MLAs, MPS, District and block level party leaders to the work shop.
BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik is likely to address the party workers.
