New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) As a missing Batla House encounter suspect appeared in an ISIS video released a couple of days back, the BJP today attacked the Congress party, saying the video once again proved that the grand old party always kept 'politics of appeasement above national security' during its regime. BJP General Secretary Shrikant Sharma said, 'even though Delhi Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma lost his life during Batla House encounter, in which two terrorists were also killed, as per senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, party president Sonia Gandhi 'wept all night long' not for the 'martyred' officer but on terrorists' death.' "During this period, Congress leaders gave priority to 'politics of appeasement' above 'national security,' said Mr Sharma, the party's spokesperson. Sharpening his attack on the grand old party, Mr Sharma cited Ishrat Jahan case and alleged that while global Intel agencies were tagging her as terrorist, the erstwhile UPA regime sought to create differences among country's security agencies on the issue. "When International pressure was being mounted on Pakistan following deadly 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai, the then Congress-led Centre rather than cornering the neighboring nation, coined term 'saffron terror' and threw our own people behind the bars in fake cases," the BJP leader said. A latest video released by the dreaded terror outfit ISIS shows Indian Jihadis, including Thane engineering student Fahad Tanvir Sheikh, issuing a warning and vowing to avenge the demolition of the Babri Mosque and the purported killing of Muslims across the country. Fahad Tanvir Sheikh is the only individual conclusively identified in the video. "After the Batla House encounter, things became very hard for us. The ATS, police and investigative agencies were after us. We somehow fled India, worked with the Mujahideen and reached Khorasan region," he said in the video. UNI RG AE 2032
