Dumka, Sep 22 (UNI) State JD-U president and former MP Salkhan Murmu demanded that his party and the BJP should contest one seat each in the upcoming bypolls to the Dumka and Bermo seats of Jharkhand Assembly.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said BJP and JD-U should contest on one seat each so that the anti-people government of the state can be thrown out of power, and suggested that BJP should contest from the Bermo seat and leave the Dumka seat for the JD-U.
Murmu said that the state committee of the party has already sent a proposal in this regard to the national leadership and both parties should contest the bypolls together like Bihar.
