BJP achieved its target of making Maharashtra free from load shedding: Power official

Nanded, Nov 15 (UNI) After coming to power, the BJP has achieved its target of making the state free from load shedding and so far provided electricity to 2.40 crore consumers in the state, claimed Maharashtra State Electricity Board Holding Company director Vishwas Pathak, on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Pathak, while explaining the success of the state government in the field of power supply, said that during the peak hour on October 22, the demand of 24,200 mega watt was also met by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDC).
The government has achieved a capacity of providing 3300 mega watt and by transmitting 6700 km power in the state, along with providing Rs 11,000 crore for the basic infrastructure, he added.
