Bilingual musical band from Delhi, 'The Unplugged Project', composes two new songs

New Delhi, Jan 8 (UNI) A bilingual musical band from Delhi, The Unplugged Project, which recently had released their first single song Faasle, have composed two new songs--'Mastiyaan' and 'Ho gaya hai Pyar'.

' After Faasle, the band has composed two new songs--Mastiyaan and Ho gaya hai Pyar,' Aditya, one of the founders of the band said in an interaction with UNI.

In an interaction with UNI, Aditya Jassi and Manish Gunthey, who in 2014 formed 'The Unplugged Project', said, 'Till date the band has played more than 800 gigs across the globe.'

Formed in 2014 by Aditya Jassi and Manish Gunthey, The Unplugged Project, is known for their live performances across formats – be it Corporate events, Weddings, Music Festivals, Colleges or even Pubs.

The trio of Manish, Aditya and the legendary drummer Ashwani Verma had one thing in common - their unconditional love for music.

Having grown up listening to possibly all genres of music, the members of 'The Unplugged Project' is equally adroit in Hindi and English music, something that comes across not only in their mash-ups but their original songs as well.

The band’s USP has always been their weirdly cool medleys and mash-ups - be it an Adele song going into a 'Pyar Humein Kis morh pe le aaya' or a 'Stand By Me' ending with Raabta.

'Both Aditya and Manish said that they are a serious bunch of musicians and songwriters and all of them write, compose and produce their own music.

The band has received rave reviews from Gargi College, Sri Venkateswara College, AIIMS, Kasauli Rhythm and Blues, Grub Fest.

Their first single 'Faasle', which was released recently has been received very well by the audiences.

For them the journey has been lot of fun as it was literally three friends meeting and jamming and not really thinking about what the future holds for the band.

They live in the moment, playing songs, doing shows just to get their fill of playing with each other.

'There’s always been a mutual respect and admiration for each of the members and that’s what made us even better musicians. However, as we started getting more queries, we realised that this can be something bigger. The audience(s) started vibing with us. They felt a part of our gigs. They started coming for our events in hordes. And that was the impetus we needed to work hard. Of late it has been a lot of hard work but we still keep the fun element intact,' says Aditya.

They have grown up listening to RD Burman and Kishore Kumar along with the rock legends like LedZeppelin and The Eagles, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, The Beatles and still have some different individual influences like Pearl Jam, Del Amitri, Dave Weckl etc.

Raw, simple and spontaneous, the band’s strength lies in their live performances.

'When we perform, the audience become a part of us. We do not stick to one genre and set the mood on firewith our fun filled gigs and style. We complement each other - one moment we sound like The

Eagles and the very next song sounds hard core Desi,' says Manish.
