Bikano Foods to expand its footprints to South with Rs 200 cr plant at Hyderabad

Chandigarh, Sept 19 (UNI) Bikano, a brand known for its delicious Namkeens and Sweets products of Bikanerwala Group, is now in course of expansion to Southern parts of the country with its hi-tech plant coming up at Hyderabad with an investment of over Rs 200 crore.
Talking to UNI here over a launch of festival products, Bikano Foods Pvt. Ltd. Vice President Ajay Agarwal said “expansion was inevitable after strengthening our market in the North. A new plant is coming up in Hyderabad with an investment of over Rs 200 crore and will become operational in a year time.”
“We have at present three plants in North i.e. in Greater Noida(UP), Delhi and Sonipat (Haryana) with sufficient production capacity to meet the demand in this part of the country with market share of around 20 per cent at present," Mr Agarwal said.
The organised industry size of Namkeens and sweets was roughly Rs 10,000 crore at present and growing at 10 to 12 per cent annually whereas, Bikano is growing at nearly 30 per cent, he claimed while answering a question in this regard.
The company did a business of nearly Rs 670 crore in last fiscal and would be achieving over Rs 850 crore in current financial year, he asserted.
