Bihar sees 228 new COVID-19 cases, tally rises to 2,394

Pàtna, May 23 (UNI) Bihar on Saturday reported 228 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the total number of positive cases to 2,394.
According to the State Health Department sources, a total of 31 cases were reported from Rohtas, followed by,Vaishali with 24, Madhepura 19, Madhubani 18, Supaul 15, Aurangabad 14, Sitamarhi and Katihar 13 each, Khagaria 12, Patna and Gaya 10 each, Darbhanga and Nawada 9 each.
Meanwhile, Banka and Begusarai registered six and five cases, respectively.
It also includes Saran with four cases, followed by, Siwan 3, West Champaran, Bhagalpur, Nalanda, Lakhisarai and Arwal 2 each and Buxar , Jamui and Bhagalpur with 1 each.
Of these, 210 are male and 18 female.
Their infection trail was being ascertained.
The sources said that of the total positive cases, 1730 are active cases.
Of these active cases, 90.5 per cent were male and 9.5 per cent are female.
