Patna, Sep 26 (UNI) Bihar Building Construction Minister and senior JD(U) leader Ashok Chaudhary on Tuesday dismissed media reports on rift with party president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh as "absurd" and "nonsense".
Chaudhary told media persons here that there was no truth in media reports on his differences with JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh.
All such reports appeared in media were nonsense and absurd, he remarked.
Reports on verbal duel between Chaudhary and Singh during a party meeting had appeared in a section of media on Monday. In reports, it was even claimed that incident took place in presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar but he did not intervene.
During the meeting in party office yesterday, Singh had reportedly taken strong exception to visits of Chaudhary to Jamui despite he was shifted from there as in-charge of the district concerned.
Chaudhary had responded to Singh that he used to visit Jamui after informing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in this connection. No party leader, present in the meeting, however was prepared to say something on the issue.
