Bihar Mahila Samaj offers tributes to migrants killed during lockdown

Patna, Jun 1 (UNI) Bihar Mahila Samaj, a women body of wider presence in the state, on Monday paid their rich tributes to the migrants who died of hunger, thirst and also in accidents and also blamed both the state and Central government for the tragedy.
A large number of women associated with Bihar Mahila Samaj took out march in all district headquarters of the state to protest apathy of both the Central and State government for deaths of large number of migrants due to thirst, hunger and accidents in various parts of the country.
Working president of Bihar Mahila Samaj Nivedita said it was sheer callousness of the government in handling the situation which claimed so many lives of migrants in Corona pandemic. As per an assessment of Bihar government, 17 lakh migrants were stuck in various parts of the country in lockdown and all of them should be brought back without any further delay, she added.
