Bihar COVID-19 tally crosses 86k-mark

Patna, Aug 11 (UNI) COVID-19 cases continue to surge in Bihar where 4071 new positive cases were detected, taking the tally of positive patients to 86812 in the state so far.
Health department sources said here today that of the new cases, Patna reported 552 cases, followed by Begusarai with 225, East Champaran 208, Bhagalpur 195, Gaya 172, Katihar 164, Buxar 162, Madhubani 143, Muzaffarpur 124, Araria 123, Rohtas 121, Purnea 119, Samastipur 117, West Champaran 112, Saran 10 6, Vaishali 103, Nalanda 98, Siwan 94, Saharsa 91, Kishanganj and Munger 83 each, Bhojpur 78, Supaul 76, Lakhisarai 75, Madhepura 73, Gopalganj 72, Aurangabad and Sitamarhi 64 each , Jehanabad 57, Sheikhpura 46, Khagaria 44, Nawada 40, Banka 39, Darbhanga and Jamui 36 each, Arwal 34, Shekhar 22 and Kaimur 16 .
Among these cases, samples of four persons, including two of Uttar Pradesh and one each of West Bengal and Karnataka were collected and examined at different places in Bihar.
