Bihar CM walks to Secretariat to mark weekly ‘No Vehicle Day’, backs fuel-saving drive

Patna, 15 May (UNI): Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today set an example by walking from his official residence at 1, Anne Marg to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat as part of his call to observe a weekly ‘No Vehicle Day’.
The Chief Minister reached his office without any convoy or official arrangements and carried out his routine administrative work. He had earlier appealed to the people to dedicate one day every week to minimising the use of vehicles to conserve fuel.
Choudhary said he was following the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel. He described the Prime Minister’s initiative as “visionary” and a significant step towards ensuring the country’s energy security.
