Bihar CM Nitish brought women in the social mainstream: Shrawan

Patna, Dec 4 (UNI) Bihar Rural Development Minister Shrawan Kumar said on Wednesday that the credit for bringing women in the mainstream of society goes to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Kumar told newspersons here that 10 lakh 81 thousand jivika groups empowered over 1 crore 30 lakh women in the state. He said women have been given 50% reservation in the Panchayati Raj and local Civic bodies. In addition to this, 35% reservation has been provided to the section in government jobs.
The Minister said that Nitish Kumar is all set to embark on Mahila Samvad Yatra to take stock of the progress of the ongoing schemes.
