Bihar CM makes aerial survey of flood hit areas

Patna, Aug 8 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today made aerial survey of flood hit areas and directed authorities concerned to remain alert for protecting the people from flood fury.
Mr Kumar made aerial survey of Budhi Gandak in Samastipur, Begusarai, Khagaria, Ganga river in Bhagalpur and Katihar regions, Mahananda river in Katihar, Purnea and Kishanganj regions besides Bagmati, Kosi and Kamla Balan rivers covering Madhubani, Darbhanga and Samastipur regions.
Mr Kumar, after making aerial survey, held a meeting with Commissioner of Purnea division Safeena N and District Magistrate Rahul Kumar to review preparedness of administrative machineries for facing flood challenge. Levels of water in rivers in these regions were low at present but flood threats
