Bihar CM condoles death of Nuclear scientist Shekhar Basu

Patna, Sep 24 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his deep shock over the death of Nuclear scientist and former Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission Shekhar Basu.
Mr Kumar, in his message, said Dr Basu was a great Nuclear scientist who had made vital contribution in preparing first Indian submarine INS Arihant. Dr Basu was a man of amazing talent and his contribution in atomic energy and engineering sector would always be remembered, he added.
The Chief Minister further said that Dr Basu had also greatly helped in clearing the project for proposed cancer hospital and research Centre in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. For his great contribution in atomic energy and Engineering sector, Dr Basu was also felicitated with padmashree award in the year 2014 , he recalled.
