Bihar Assembly Adjourned twice following ruckus by the RJD

Patna , Feb 27 (UNI) Bihar assembly was adjourned twice during the pre-lunch session following ruckus by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) members visibly agitated over the comments passed by the Ministers in the state government from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).

During reply being made by the Agriculture Minister Prem Kumar to the supplementary questions raised over the short noticed question of RJD member Lalit Yadav , the RJD members dissatisfied with the reply had heated exchanges with the treasury bench and trooped to the well. The RJD members were shouting anti government slogans terming the state government as anti- farmers.

Continuing his reply, Mr Kumar said the state has now come out of the era of Lantern age. Lantern being symbol of RJD, its member got irked over the comment of the minister and demanded for withdrawal of the comment and an apology by the minister concerned. In the meantime, the ruling party members were seen thumping their desk in support of the comment of the Agriculture Minister.
The pandemonium continued for a few minutes and the members of the RJD did not resume their seats despite repeated request made by the Speaker, Mr Vijay Kumar Choudhary for the same. Amid noise, the RJD member Bhai Virendra said that they would not let the House function till the Agriculture minister tenders his apology and withdraw his comments made regarding the RJD.

In view of the total chaos in the House, the Speaker adjourned it at 1125 hrs till 12.00 hrs.
