Big investment in offing in Himachal : Minister

Kangra, Feb 2 (UNI) Big corporate houses of the country are so impressed by the political class and the bureaucracy of Himachal Pradesh that they have decided to invest big in the hill state.
Stating this while talking to mediapersons after inaugurating a fire station at Dadaseba today on Saturday, Industries and Technical Education minister Bikram Singh Thakur said in this hill state the environment and atmosphere were congenial in every way for the investors.
He said to attract the investors for investing in the state on big scale all steps are being taken by the government in this direction and the Chief Minister has assured the investors of all help from the government.
He said besides Bangaluru and Hyderabad (Telangana), the state government was in touch with the industrialists and discussion regarding their investment in the state was in progress.
Thakur blamed the previous Congress government for pushing Jaswan and Pragpur assembly segments to acme of backwardness on all fronts. He said all the regions pushed to backwardness and ignored by earlier Congress government will be given a developmental flip on priority basis by the Jairam Thakur government.
The Minister said Jaswan Pragpur will have Division of IPH and PWD after after a long gap. He said land is being identified for the IPH Subdivision office for Jaswan Pragpur soon, also all formalities were being completed for setting up of the Industrial Setup at Chinoor in Dehra subdivision.
He said mini secretariats at Dada Seba and Rakkar will be constructed at the cost of Rs one crore.
Mr Thakur said the CHC Dada Seba has been upgraded to civil hospital and bus stand is being constructed at the cost of Rs 50 lakhs.
He said foundation stone of the Pharmacy college at Kuhna will be laid soon.
Thakur congratulated the people of Dada Seba for having a fire station which was inaugurated on Saturday. He said another fire station will be set up in the industrial area of Sansarpur Terrace. Earlier, he attended annual day function of the Govt Senior Secondary School at Bhathu Tippri as chief guest and distributed prizes to meritorious students.

Union govt hikes ex mill price of sugar in UP
