Bhongir port to be developed into modern tourist spot : Telangana Tourism Minister

Hyderababad, Nov 9 (UNI) Teljangana Tourism and Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud said on Monday that Bhongir Fort will be developed into a modern tourist spot before the reopening of Sri Yadadri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple located at Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district in the state.
The Bhongir Fort which, was built in the 10th century, has been adorning the place from the time it was built. It was built on an isolated monolithic rock by the Western Chalukya ruler Tribhuvanamalla Vikaramaditya VI in the year 1076 and was thus named after him as Tribhuvanagiri, later it was called as ‘ Bhuvanagiri’.
Addressing after visiting the ancient Bhongir Fort atop a monolithic stone hillock, Srinivas Goud said the government would allocate three acres of land for setting up a ropeway to the fort.
