Bhitarkanika national park to reopen for visitors from Oct 19

Kendrapara, Oct 17 (UNI) After remaining closed for nearly seven months due to covoid pandemic , the Bhitarkanika will now open for day visitors from October 19 next with strict adherence to Covid guidelines.
The tourists visiting the park will have to follow the covid protocol mandatory ,issued by the forest department, DFO of Rajnagar Mangrove( forest) and Wildlife Division Bikash Ranjan Dash said.
Earlier from October 1 the Bhitarkanika National park authority has allowed tourists only for night stay at the cabins of Dangamala crocodile Research centre through online booking while the day visitors were restricted not to enter into the National park in a bid to contain the spread of global pandemic.
