Mysuru, Jul 9 (UNI) Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran (P) Ltd has adopted Asiatic elephants, Asiatic lion, Bengal Tiger, Giraffes, Zebras, Chimpanzee and Southern white Rhinoceros for one year under animal adoption scheme of Mysuru Zoo here on Thursday.
According to a release by Zoo authorities, the Bank officials handed over a cheque for Rs 10 lakh towards the adoption fees under CSR scheme.
The interest shown by the Bank since the last five years for adoption of large mammals is commendable. Their valuable contribution to this noble scheme will inspire other corporate bodies and charitable institutions for taking part in the animal adoption scheme, the release added.
