Lucknow, Aug 14 (UNI) Following a fighting incident in the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) office in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr, Basic Education Minister Satish Dwivedi directed the suspension of the Block Education Officer (BEO) and a teacher with immediate effect, official sources said on Friday.
In a letter written to the Director General (School Education), Mr Dwivedi said that the BEO and the teacher who were involved in the fight in Bulandshahr, should be suspended with immediate effect and make him aware about the situation after initiating a departmental probe in this connection.
Notably, an altercation had escalated into a fight between the District Exercise teacher and BEO Narendra Kumar during a meeting at the BSA office on August 7. Both of them engaged in a brawl whose video went viral, causing a lot of embarrassment to the department.
