Bengaluru international airport to install statue of Kempegowda as tourist attraction

Bengaluru, Jun 6 (UNI) The country's IT hub will add a 108ft tall bronze statue of IT city king Kempegowda near its international airport.
Foundation stone for the statue that will be sculpted by famous sculptors Ram V Sutar and Anil R Sutar,will be held on June 27 to mark the 511th birth anniversary of Kempegowda.
Deputy Chief Minister H N Ashwath Narayan, who is also Vice President of Kempegowda Development Authority told newsmen here that “as June 27 marks the 511th birth anniversary of Kempegowda, so the date has been fixed, after discussing with the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.”
