Bengal: Now egg omelette therapy for TMC leader in West Burdwan as part of Gandhigiri protest

Asansol, Jun 14 (UNI) In a unique form of protest, locals and BJP supporters in Durgapur, in West Bengl's West Burdwan district, on Sunday served an omelette to an associate of a former Trinamool Congress councillor instead of throwing eggs at him, as anger mounted over allegations of money being collected from people in exchange for land pattas.
Local women chanted angry slogans with broomsticks in their hands in protest and alleged that the original beneficiaries were denied.
Locals have alleged that 41-year-old former councillor of TMC of Durgapur Municipal Corporation, Sipul Saha, had collected lakhs of rupees from residents in Mhanada Colony, Birvanpur, etc., for disbursing patta land.
