Bengal Govt keen to let the latest research help the grassroots people

Kolkata, Jan 02 (UNI) The Bengal Government is keen to let the effects of research reach the people at the grassroots to enable them to lead better lives.

It can be achieved by first creating a close network among the best research organisations of the state.

A meeting towards this end was recently hosted by the State Science and Technology Minister, where 83 representatives from 39 top institutes were present.

The institutes were quite eager in helping the government in this venture. They presented various proposals which would be closely studied by the government and implemented as much as possible. Pilot projects would launched at various planes.
