Bengal earmarks 50 acres of land for potato research centre

Kolkata, Feb 9 (UNI) The West Bengal government has earmarked a 50-acre of farmland for setting up Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI) in West Medinipur.
The CPRI is an exclusive centre for potato research, which was established in Shimla in 1935.
In line with Shimla research centre, the Mamata Banerjee government has allotted 50 acres to CPRI for setting up research station for tuber plant.
