BEML offer to reduce Metro tender coach

Bengaluru, July 3 (UNI) Public Sector Undertaking Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) had lost a Rs 1,600-crore-contract to a Chinese firm to manufacture metro coaches.
In a statement issued here on Friday said as of now, amid the tension between India-China, BEML is ready to reduce the bidding price.
Earlier, China-based CRRC Nanjin Puzhen Co Ltd emerged as the lowest bidder for manufacturing 216 Metro coaches including 90 CBTC-complaint for Metro coaches.

Covid-19: Karnataka decides to discontinue home isolation due to surge in cases

Bengaluru, May 15 (UNI) Following sudden surge in the fresh Covid cases in the districts and rural parts of Karnataka, the state government on Saturday decided to discontinue the home isolation in villages and taluks
and instead directed Deputy Commissioners to admit all Covid positive patients to Covid Care Centres or isolation centres.
