Before weather could change Chief Ministers were changed in Jharkhand: Modi

Jamshedpur, Dec 3 (UNI) Accusing the Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha
of being primarily responsible for the political instability in Jharkhand, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on Tuesday said, " I was the chief minister of Gujarat for 13
consecutive years but Jharkhand saw 10 Chief Ministers in 15 years."
"Before the weather could change in the state the Chief Minister of Jharkhand was
changed primarily due to the personal and vested interests of the Congress and the
JMM," he said while addressing his second rally of the day at Gopal Maidan of Bistupur
here adding that it was the BJP which stopped this system and gave one chief minister
for five years.
He said it was due to this stability effective action was taken against the naxals and
business friendly environment was created in the state.
Mr Modi said that to maintain stability it is important that BJP is voted back into power.
He said the opportunistic alliance of the JMM and the Congress do not want stable
government in Jharkhand as their business will be impacted.

the double engine government is formed in the state.

connectivity in the state and pointed that in the last five years the state has got 700
kilometers of new National Highways.
He said when the Congress and its allies were in power Jharkhand got only Rs 2000
crore for improving the rail infrastructure while under BJP the funds were increased
more than five times to Rs 10,000 crore and 700 kilometers of new railway lines were
opened.
The Prime Minister said that the state has also highly benefited from Pradhan Mantari
Urja Ganga Yojana and Ujjwala Yojana.
He said the state government has also tried to improve infrastructure, create better
environment for investment and industrialisation and was trying to attract investors
so that the youths can get jobs near their homes.
Mr Modi said apart from steel Jharkhand has created lots of job opportunities in the
silk and textiles sector and in the five years has provided 1.75 lakh jobs in these two
sectors.
He said that India was the third largest producer of steel which was being used from
roads to satellites and under the Make in India initiative it was being used to build metro
trains, railway tracks, Vande Bharat Express Train and in future due to the demand in
infrastructure the steel sector is poised to grow further.
The Prime Minister said that BJP also remained for such sections who were only lured
with slogans and pointed the various schemes which have been started for the welfare
