Be careful and vigilant and save your hard earnings from cyber frauds: SP Upasna

Kaithal, Oct 5 (UNI) Police spokesperson said that under the guidance of SP Upasana the police is running a special awareness campaign to create awakening about cyber frauds. As part of this campaign, awareness programs are being organized by the police in urban/rural areas and schools and colleges etc. People are being made aware about the new technology, how cyber criminals are cheating their victims by adopting new methods and befooling people. SP Upasana said that in the present time, beside other type of frauds financial fraud cases are coming up in the name of courier.
Regarding the incidents of the said financial fraud, SP Upasana said that fraudsters call or message you and say that your passport or any other item is to reach you through courier but some small payment of Rs 5-10. is outstanding and need to be cleared at once to ensure uninterrupted delivery We are sending you a link. You get your outstanding payment cleared through this link, after that your courier will be delivered. The common man thinks that it is a matter of Rs 5-10. Cyber thugs create your new UPI ID as soon as you click on that link your hard earned money may vanish from your bank account . Therefore, being cautious and aware, avoid being a victim of cheating from cyber thugs. Do not click on any type of link. Do not share your OTP, bank information or any other personal information with anyone. In case of any type of financial or online fraud, call 1930 and file your complaint. Apart from this, give your complaint at the Cyber Crime Police Station or the Cyber Help Desk established under your respective police station.

₹1 crore cash seized from car in Rohtak; four detained
