BDL solar power project to generate 79 lakh units of energy annually: Vikram Solar

Hyderabad, Aug 6 (UNI) A 5 MW Solar Power Project at Bharat Dynamics (BDL), which was inaugurated by Union Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh here recently, is expected to generate 79 lakh units of energy annually, Vikaram Solar, who was executive of the project, said here on Tuesday.
In a release, Vikram Solar, India’s leading solar energy solutions provider, said the solar energy would be used for captive consumption by BDL, at their Kanchanbagh Unit.
Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) was the consultant for this project and the plant was showcased in BDL’s 50-year celebration as well.
Mr. Kuldeep Kumar Jain, BU Head-EPC, Vikram Solar, said “Commissioning of the plant was a part of our continued effort to contribute to our country’s greener future and that the Solar Power Plant was perceived under ‘300 MW Ministry of Defence Scheme’ with Viability Gap Funding.
We congratulate BDL for their step towards a sustainable future and hope to be a part of BDL’s further ventures towards greenification, he added.
