BBS alleges Delhi Govt of being 'lingually biased'

New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) The Bharatiya Bhasha Samooh (BBS) has alleged that the latest socio-economic survey, conducted by Delhi Government’s Department of Planning, was "linguistically biased" as the questionnaire was prepared in English.
The socio-economic survey of the Delhi Goverment is an app-based survey conducted for the households of the national capital. It collects information pertaining to education, health, income, social; security of the members of every household, which in turn provides a base for the policies and reallocation of resources by the government for the people of national capital.
The group said instead of being multi-lingual, the survey was available only in English, which disappointed many. Conveners of the group, Dipak Dholakiya and Anil Chamadia, claimed that it indicated Delhi government’s biased nature, which did not consider Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi languages despite their prominence in Delhi NCR.
