Batch of 264 Amarnath yatris leaves from Jammu

Jammu, Aug 1 (UNI) A small batch of 264 pilgrims today left from here amid tight security for their respective base camps in Kashmir viz Baltal and Pahalgam.
“Amid chants of ‘Bam Bam Bhole, Jai Baba Burfani' a fresh batch of pilgrims comprising 182 males, 32 females and 50 sadhus in a convoy of eight vehicles left from Bagwati Nagar base camp for Baltal and Pahalgam in Kashmir," an official said this afternoon.
He added that the pilgrims proceeded for their pilgrimage via Pahalgam and through Baltal routes to pay their obeisance at holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath situated in south Kashmir Himalayas.
