Barring Geelani, Shah all separatist leaders released in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jun 16 (UNI) Barring chairman of hardline Hurriyat Conference (HC) Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Shabir Ahmad Shah, all separatist leaders have been released from house arrest and preventive detention in the Kashmir valley.
Separatist leaders, including chairman of moderate HC Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Mohammad Yaseen Malik and about 30 other separatist leaders and activities, were put under house arrest or detained in police station.
The separatist organisation had jointly called for peaceful protests at Lal Chowk yesterday afternoon against the alleged conspiracy to change the demography of the state by constructing separate sainik and pandit colonies and allotting land to non state subjects under new industrial policy.
