Barring BSNL, cellular services, broadband internet remain suspended in Kashmir valley

Srinagar, Aug 13 (UNI) Cellular services and broadband internet of all companies, barring BSNL, remained suspended for the second successive day today in Kashmir valley, where strict curfew remained in force to foil ‘referendum march’ to Lal Chowk called by separatists against the killing of 58 civilians in security force firing since July 9.
Meanwhile, mobile-internet remained snapped since July 9, a day after Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commander Burhan Wani and two other militants were killed in an encounter in Anantnag.
However, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) post-paid mobile phones and broadband service are working normally as of now in Kashmir, where authorities yesterday in the afternoon snapped internet service of all private companies.
