Banned tobacco products worth over Rs 18L seized; one held in Palghar

Palghar, Aug 13 (UNI) Banned tobacco products worth Rs 18.47 lakh were seized while a 28-year-old man was arrested for being allegedly involved in smuggling the contraband, police said here on Thursday.
The accused has been identified as Kantilal Meena, a Rajasthan native.
In the wee hours of Wednesday, a patrolling party from the Kasa police station spotted the moving container near Chanivare village. The vehicle was stopped and the tobacco products concealed in gunny bags were discovered upon search, stated police.
