Banned NLFT wrote to Amit Shah

Agartala, Jun 25 (UNI) The banned outfit National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) has approached to Ministry of Home Affairs seeking peace talk after the Central government extended their tenure of banning for next five years.
According to report, NLFT in a letter to union home minister Amit Shah proposed to hold peace talk and finalise the agreement within July next in order to arrange good education for their children. The letter signed by NLFT president D Yamrok last week mentioned that the meeting that took place for peace talk with the Central government three years ago but not taken any shape yet. The tripartite peace talk involving centre and state government had started in 2015 and even after 5th round of dialogue nothing concrete came out.
The government representatives assured many times that the peace agreement would take place soon and accordingly the organization had taken all necessary steps, said Yamrok and added, “We even did not enroll our children’s name for new academic session”.
