Bandh called by Congress erupted mixed response

Ambassa (Tripura), Sep 21 (UNI) The 12-hours bandh called by Congress erupted in mixed response in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai today.
The Congress called upon the strike against the alleged misrule of the BJP led state government, its failure in combating COVID-19 pandemic, growing unemployment and attacks on the scribes and politically opponent leaders and other issues. Throughout the district, the strike failed top cast impact on the life and living of common people. Government institutions, banks remained open with full presence. Private institutions and business activities were also in tune.
However, the vehicular movement was skeletal. Picketers supporting the bandh were found nowhere in the district but in Ambassa, there Congress activists coming out in support of the strike were arrested by police. BJP activists also came out on roads opposing the strike but nothing untoward happened.
