Mumbai, Feb 2 (UNI) Auto Major, Bajaj Auto has reported a decline of 17.70 percent in its total sales at 2,41,917 units for the month of January 2017 as compared with 2,93,939 units sold during the same month a year ago. Motorcycle sales during the month decreased by 16.27 per cent to 2,11,824 units from 2,52,988 units in January 2016, the company said in a filing with BSE. Its commercial vehicle sales declined by 26.51 percent to 30,093 units during the month under review as compared to 40,951 units in the year-ago period. Exports for the month of January 2017 also declined by 19.19 percent to 1,06,729 units as against 1,32,069 units in January 2016.
