Baihar assault: IG, SP removed

Bhopal, Oct 2 (UNI) Just days after a few police personnel – including an additional superintendent – were placed under suspension on the charge of attempting to murder a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh pracharak – an incident that came up for discussion at the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s State Working Committee meeting in Gwalior – the Government today transferred the Inspector General (Balaghat Range) and the Superintendent of Police (SP).
According to the related Home Department order, IG DC Sagar was reassigned as IG (Planning) at Headquarters and SP Asit Yadav was posted as Commandant, 13th Battalion, Special Armed Force, Gwalior. IG (Anti-Naxal Operations) G Janardan is to assume Mr Sagar’s previous charge and Jabalpur’s Zonal SP (Special Branch) Amit Sanghi was made Balaghat’s SP.
Umaria’s SP Chandrashekhar Solanki was shifted as Assistant IG, Headquarters.
