Badal reviews performance of meritorious schools

Chandigarh, May 20 (UNI) Expressing great satisfaction and happiness over superb performance
of meritorious schools with 100 percent results of the first batch passing out 10+2 from state board examination, the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said that the state government would bear the entire expenditure of higher education of students passing out from meritorious schools for which the state had already earmarked a budgetary allocation of Rs. 15 crore during the current fiscal.
Briefing the Chief Minister, the Project Director of the Society running these schools, General K.A.S. Bhullar apprised him that out of 2053 students who appeared in the 10+2 board exam, as many as 1270 students scored above 80 percent marks and captured 23 positions in the merit list.
