Badal assures support and cooperation for Sainik school Kapurthala

Chandigarh, Nov 14( UNI) The Indian Army has decided to start civil work for setting up a Service Selection Centre (North) at Rupnagar as all formalities pertaining to the project has been completed.
Apprising Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal about this major development, Commander of Western Command Lt General Surinder Singh AVSM, VSM said Army was running the provisional campus of SSC at Kapurthala and it would be shifted to Rupnagar after the construction work for it was completed.
Lt Gen Singh, who called on the Chief Minister late last evening at his residence, said the work on this project would be started very soon. Pertinently, the state government has given 200 acres of its land for the centre.

Shimla, Apr 16 (UNI) Botanist Ashutosh Sharma of Himachal Pradesh has discovered an extinct flower species Tiyur , whose scientific name is Impatiens violidis ,179 years after it was last seen in 1844 in the Chanshal forests of Shimla.
