Babulal Marandi comes out with proof of horse trading committed by BJP, demands CBI probe

Ranchi, Jul 6 (UNI) Former Jharkhand chief minister and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajtantrik) leader Babulal Marandi today met Governor Draupadi Murmu at the Raj Bhawan here and handed her a memorandum demanding action over the BJP leaders who indulged in horse trading, cancellation of membership of MLAs who switched to BJP and a CBI probe into the entire episode.
Through the memorandum, Mr Marandi has pointed that in 2014 assembly polls eight MLAs managed to win the elections on his party’s symbol and after a month 6 MLAs in February 2015 switched over to the BJP. At that time also he had pointed that money and muscle power was used to poach these MLAs which was later visible as among them two were made cabinet ministers and three others were made presidents of various boards and corporations.
In his memorandum, Mr Marandi also attached a xerox copy of a letter which was allegedly written by the then state BJP president and present Koderma MP Ravindra Kumar Rai on January 19, 2015 addressed to the national president of the party showcasing the details of the payment made to every MLA who had switched side has been written through Mr Trivendra Singh Rawat who was then the in-charge for party affairs in Jharkhand.
