Dhaka, Feb 16 (UNI) Rubbishing the allegations of human trafficking by a Kuwait-based media outlet as completely false and baseless, a Parliamentarian from Bangladesh on Sunday said some people were 'consipiring' against him, with the malafide intention of defaming him.
Talking to reporters here, lawmaker Kazi Shahid Islam said, 'This is a conspiracy against me locally and internationally for being elected an MP. I’m not involved in any criminal activity and have been running business with a good reputation.'
According to his social media page and website, Mr Islam is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Marafie Kuwaitia Group of Companies in Kuwait, Oman and Jordan.
