Azad for nation-wide debate on controversial Rafale fighter aircraft deal

Hyderabad ,Sep 19 (UNI) Congress Party General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday favoured a nation-wide debate on the multi-crore Rafale fighter aircraft deal.
Addressing a news conference at Gandhi Bhavan, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters here, Mr Azad who is also the leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha said that such a debate would bring out the nitty-gritty of the controversial deal.
He said the government attitude in the Parliament had been "irritating", adding that, never in the last 70 years such a situation was witnessed.
