New Delhi, Jun 19 (UNI) Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia on Wednesday hit out at the NDA government at Centre over the Ayushman Bharat scheme alleging that the scheme did not turn out to be useful for anyone including weaker sections, middle class and the poor as it only covers those who do not have phones or refrigerators in their households.
Mr Sisodia, while addressing a press conference here said that the scheme has failed the people of the country and is not practical as what is required is to strengthen our healthcare infrastructure and access for all to healthcare.
He said instead of such a scheme, it would be more beneficial for people if more emphasis is laid on making new hospitals and mohalla clinics as they immediately cater to primary healthcare issues of the people.
