Aviation fuel catches fire as tanker lorry overturns

Malappuram, Kerala, Jun 30 (UNI) Aviation fuel caught fire after a tanker lorry proceeding towards Calicut International Airport near here overturned at Tanur in this district of Kerala today.
Police said the fuel caught fire while shifting to another vehicle after the tanker from Kochi turned turtle at a bend near Priya talkies under jurisdiction of Tanur police station.
A nearby house was destroyed as the flame spread, police added and said fire and rescue personnel, however, extinguished the flame. No casualty was reported.
Vehicular traffic and power supply was disrupted in the locality for some time due to the impact of the accident, police further said.
