Srinagar, Sep 21 (UNI) Concerned over surge in COVID positive cases, drive against violators of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) by the administration continued for the second day on Tuesday in Srinagar district, where health department had set up a centre for vaccinating people.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Tuesday warned that stern action would be taken against shopkeepers and people who are found violating COVID SOPs. However, he said it is not that entire Srinagar district is reporting surge in positive cases but there are some clusters in the district, where positivity rate is high.
People were vaccinated at a centre set up by the health department at historic Lal Chowk, the nerve centre of the city. This is the second time unvaccinated people were given the jab by the health department officials at the historic Chowk.
