Prayagraj, Sep 11 (UNI) Akhara Parishad national president Mahant Narendra Giri on Wednesday said an Australian court had acquitted spiritual Yoga guru Anand Giri while stating that the allegations made against him were baseless and fabricated.
He said after conducting an in-depth probe into the matter, the Sydney police told the court that all the allegations made against Anand Giri were baseless and untrue.
After presenting the investigation papers by the police, the court acquitted Yoga guru Anand Giri, while terming him innocent in its judgement.
The Akhara Praishad national president said while releasing the seized passport of Anand Giri, the Sydney court gave him the permission to go to India.
Mahant Giri said the Yoga guru will return to India till next week.
Notably, Anand Giri was instructed not to leave Australia after he was accused of indulging in indecent conduct with two women in Sydney. Anand Giri had visited the country in May for a religious discourse when the police had arrested him.
