Aurangabad adds 221 COVID-19 cases, seven deaths

Aurangabad,Maharashtra, Jul 3 (UNI) At least 221 fresh cases COVID-19 were identified on Friday in the district pushing the tally of 6,264.
Seven more patients succumbed in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 286, official said here.
Out of 221 fresh cases, 156 patients were hailing from Aurangabad Municipal Corporation and 65 in rural parts of district which include 142 males and 79 females.
Meanwhile,a total of 157 more patients were cured patients including 87 are from municipal areas and 70 from rural areas.With this total discharged have reached 3,126.
Now 2,852 corona-affected patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and Covid centres in the city.
Out of total seven fatalities ,five were reported at Government Medical College and Hospital(GMCH). They were a 72-year-old man from Arunodaya Colony, a 48-year-old woman from Lotakaranja, a 65-year-old man from Shelud Chatha, a 65-year-old woman from Azim Colony and a 65-year-old woman from Ajanta in Sillod taluka.
A 73-year-old woman from Paithan and a 71-year-old male patient from CIDCO succumbed at a private hospitals in the city.
Out of total 286 deaths, 217 were reported at GMCH, 68 from various private hospitals and 1 from the district general hospital,they added.
In view of rising number of cases, police has enforce night curfew in the city.
