Aug 5 will be observed as ‘Black Day’ till spl status of J&K is not restored: PDP

Srinagar, Aug 5 (UNI) Asserting that August 5 will be observed as a ‘Black Day’ until special status of Jammu and Kashmir was not restored, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday alleged that ‘the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35 A has not just shattered the trust of the people of J&K on the Constitution of India but also pulverised the fledgling mainstream’.

“August 5 is and will continue to be a Black Day as a reminder of the constitutional fraud perpetrated on the people of J&K and how it was imposed with the might of incarcerations and under the dark shadow of suspension of civil liberties,” PDP spokesman Syed Suhail Bukhari said in a statement issued here on Wednesday.
